Pioneer Valley Little League Officially Chartered for Central Utah

Families across Central Utah will soon have access to an official Little League program designed to bring structured baseball and softball opportunities to young athletes throughout the region.

Pioneer Valley Little League has officially been chartered by Little League International and will begin league play starting with the 2027 season. As part of the internationally recognized Little League organization headquartered in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, Pioneer Valley Little League will operate under nationally established standards for safety, player development, and organized competition.

The league will serve boys and girls ages 9–12 from communities across central Utah including Payson, Santaquin, Elk Ridge, Genola, Goshen, Mona, Nephi, Levan, Eureka, and surrounding areas. Games will be hosted at approved ballfields throughout participating cities, with the league centrally based at the Goshen ballfields due to their regional accessibility.

As an officially chartered Little League program, Pioneer Valley Little League offers more than just local play. Players who participate in the league will be eligible for All-Star team selection and advancement through the official Little League tournament system. Teams can progress through district, state, and regional tournaments, with the opportunity to ultimately compete in the Little League Baseball World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania or the Little League Softball World Series in Greenville, North Carolina.

While many youth baseball programs operate independently through recreation departments, Pioneer Valley Little League is part of a nationally governed system that connects local communities to a larger network of youth baseball and softball programs across the United States and around the world.

League leadership is committed to providing a structured, positive environment where young athletes can learn the fundamentals of the game while also developing character, teamwork, and confidence. The league is led by experienced educators and supported by dedicated volunteers who share a commitment to youth development and community involvement.

Pioneer Valley Little League represents a new opportunity for families across Central Utah to participate in the official Little League experience while strengthening the region’s tradition of youth baseball and softball.
